Park Street, Historic Downtown District, Alameda, California
The annual Park Street Festival has become a traditional Mother’s Day weekend event. With over 150 arts and crafts vendors, it is an ideal place to find that perfect gift for mom. Or, perhaps mom would prefer to pick it out herself. After having shopped the merchants, be sure to visit the kid’s area where there will be games, activities, face painting, a rock climbing wall, and more. Once your children have tuckered themselves out treat yourself to a variety of festival foods and beverages. And, be sure to visit the craft beer tents where an array of craft ales will be available for sale, and tastings. Live music will fill the air, as over 12 of the area’s most popular groups will be performing live. Classic rock, bluegrass, funk, and soul are all on the agenda. It is highly advised that you do not forget to “Shop Park Street”. The stores that consume the historic downtown shopping district will be offering deep discounts, along with special promotions.
Festival admission is free for the entire family. So this weekend clear your agenda to partake in the Festival, of all Festivals. The Park Street’s 14th Annual Spring Festival event promises to be bigger and better than ever, offering something for everyone. Vendors, a kid’s play area, live music, food, beer, wine, gifts for mom, fun and more will all be offered in a one-stop Festival spectacular!
