Three Acts, Two Dancers, One Radio Show Host with Ira Glass

University of Berkley, Zellerbach Hall, Berkley, California

If the title is not enough to entice you, the description of this event certainly will.  The Three Acts, Two Dancers, One Radio Show Host with Ira Glass event is one that you will absolutely not want to miss.  The show, featuring popular radio show host Ira Glass, showcases a unique performance intertwining two very opposite art forms.  As Ira himself has put it, “they simply have no business being together”.  The combination of radio show host with dance may seem a bit unusual, but the performance brought down the house, at its first test run at Carnegie Hall.

Three Acts, Two Dancers, and One Radio Show Host pulls stories from the lives of the three performers, thus forming the Three Acts.  Ira Glass conducts radio show interviews restaged, reflecting stories of falling in love, losing love, and the art of being a performer.  While Glass is commentating, Monica Bill Barnes and Anna Bass dance to the stories being told.  The gifted dancers endure multiple costume changes and face paintings, while there is a continuous change of props, and lighting.  The results of the efforts put in on the parts of all three entertainers is a hysterically funny, lively, an unexpected show.  Ira Glass is phenomenal, as his radio pieces are retold by dancing storytellers, without voices.  Combining the two art forms has led to an entertainment event, unlike any you have ever seen.

Admission prices to attend this must-see event range from $71.00 to $247.00, dependent on your seat selection.  To view a seating chart and purchase your tickets online, please click here.
