Model Train Show and Open House

Walnut Creek Model Railroad Society, Walnut Creek, California

The Walnut Creek Model Railroad Society invites you and your family to come out this Saturday to celebrate its Open House and model “Train Show” event.  Declared the “Best Man Cave in the Bay Area”, the building that houses this spectacular exhibition of model trains was specifically designed, and built around the layout for the trains to travel the tracks.

This Saturday, your family will become immersed in the miniature world of trains, and the excursions they travel.  The design features landscapes, cityscapes, mountainous terrain, and landmarks of all sorts.  The trains travel through tunnels, over hills, across bridges, and over waterways.  They cover over 4,300 linear feet of railway, spanning over 1,800 square feet of ground.  The trains scale to peaks of mountains over 4 feet tall, and then plummet into the valleys that lie far below.

The cost to attend the world-renowned Walnut Creek Railroad Society “Train Show” and Open House event is only $3.00 for adults ages 13 and older, $2.00 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children under the age of 6.  Tickets can be purchased at the door, the day of the event.

So this Saturday plan on clearing your agenda to spend the day in a mesmerizing miniature world, at the “Train Show” event.  Trains will be zooming around a topographical masterpiece, featuring amusement parks, towns, train stations, cities, landmarks and much more.  Your family will truly be fascinated by this miniature world, created on such a grand scale!
